Company Philosophy:
Our Philosophy
All down its history, the philosophy of “El Caballo” has kept one maxim: to stay faithful to tradition. Tradition which all down the years has made us adhere to the strictest standards of quality. Tradition which links us with Seville, our natural home. A home which marks our identity deeply, because the characteristics of Seville are our own. Leatherwork tradition, design and Seville. These are the pillars that support the philosophy of “El Caballo”, and the foundations on which we build our fashion collections.
Creative Director.
A new breeze is blowing through “El Caballo”. Since the beginning of 2007, Nicolas Vaudelet has been the Creative Director of its collections.
Born in Brittany, France, in 1976, Vaudelet’s professional career has led him to work with the greatest names in international fashion. Christian Lacroix, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Jean Paul-Gaultier are the firms he has worked for and which have contributed to the birth of the very personal stamp which defines his fashion creations today. This stamp is typified by his creativity with leather and leatherwork, which will have its imprint in El Caballo with new styles that respect and maintain the essence of the brand.
A lover of Spain and all things Spanish, Nicolas Vaudelet was seduced by the creative challenge of combining the modernity, classicism and the southern airs which make up “ El Caballo”. For its part, the brand is backing a designer whose youth and talent make him a creator of trends in the fashion world.
My Comments: El Caballo is one of the top three companies in Spain making beautifully designed bags and leather accessories, with their new creative designer Nicolas Vaudelet who until recently worked with Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris, they are now embarking on a world wide export drive – “affordable luxury” sums up well what they do.
